WALK OF FAME
In this famous neighborhood of Los Angeles there are several interesting must see for every tourist as the well-known Walk of Fame.
This avenue is known all over the world as the place where the great stars of Hollywood leave their name. This tradition dates back to 1958 when Hollywood commissioned Weismuller to remodel the city. It is said that he was inspired to create the Walk of Fame when actress Constance Talmadge inadvertently stepped on a newly cemented area and left her mark on the ground. Thus began the tradition. More than 2000 stars were deposited on the ground, but in 1994 they had to expand the Paseo because they had already filled them all. The star represents a symbol of why the artist has been awarded and she or he decides which footprint to put.
To assign the stars, every 31 May the Walk of Fame Committee decides to whom the star is going to be given. If a celebrity receives one, they must attend the awards ceremony for five years.
